Tip #1- Clean up your instagram feed It’s tempting to overly post reposted pictures or grid photos. Our tip, create as much content of your own as humanly possible. Do not stress post frequency as it does not truly matter (I’ll elaborate in tip #2). Create 12-15 great posts a month at a minimum. Here is how we set up our pages. Go for lighter neutral colors and edit your pictures to match the vibe. You want people to stay on your page for more than 3 seconds. Having an organized page with great captions that help build the story of your business will lead people to click on your website without you having to ask. With this set up, you do not have to keep saying “buy buy buy”. This method keeps you authentic and more like a real person open to networking. Tip #2- engage with people You may be laughing but I can guarantee you that you are NOT engaging. Naturally, you will use hashtags because you want a farther reach, right? With those hashtags go to the “top” posts and look what they are sharing. All you have to do is simply put your 2 cents (input) in on some of those posts. Do this with the top 3 posts in 5 hashtags for the 72 hour challenge and I promise you page view, website views, and followers will come in without putting in extra work. I still have followers and sales coming in because I do this with 20 hashtags everyday. People will see your name come up constantly on those hashtags and become curious about you, at least enough to view what you are doing. When engaging, posting so frequently does not become a priority. You want enough on your feed so people coming from engagement become curious and check out your website. Tip #3- give a reason outside of buying your product to view your site If you have a business profile we all know you have something to buy. You should ask yourself “what would make my followers want to go to my website.” You could do a freebie, it is the best way to capture an audience. Maybe, just maybe.... You can start a blog. If you are reading this, this is proof that it works. I post on purpose and not for frequency (insider marketing tip). If I need a few more sales for the month I will post and share it to specific social media pages. Many people will not read a blog on a website that sells an item or service but to be honest, many people do not ask or have material that captures anyone to read. Share tips and tricks, or if you are in an industry relies on beauty or clothing create tumblr-like blog page from images that inspire you. If you go with the later option be sure to get permission from the owner of the photo. NOT just for permission purposes, but if they have a highly engaged following and you let them know beforehand...they might boost traffic to your webpage.
